Dental bridge

Comfortable, secure, and long-lasting
bridges to replace missing teeth

What is a dental bridge?

A dental bridge is made to replace one or more missing teeth. It works by “bridging the gap” between two healthy teeth or dental implants, using a false tooth (called a pontic) that looks and functions like a natural one.

At our Newark dental office, we design dental bridges that are strong, look natural, and are built to restore your ability to chew, speak, and smile. Whether you lost a tooth because of decay, injury, or extraction, a fixed dental bridge is a long-lasting option to bring back your full, healthy smile.

Bridges can also prevent surrounding teeth from shifting and help maintain proper bite alignment, protecting your oral health over time.

What are the benefits?

Dental Bridge

A dental bridge offers a reliable, long-term solution for replacing missing teeth. It restores your ability to chew comfortably and speak clearly, while also improving the appearance of your smile by filling visible gaps with natural-looking replacement teeth.

Dental bridges help maintain proper alignment by preventing nearby teeth from shifting, and they support your bite and jaw health over time. Unlike removable dentures, a bridge is fixed in place and easy to care for, just like your natural teeth.

We custom design high-quality dental bridges that are strong, secure, and made to blend seamlessly with your smile.

FAQ

Does getting a bridge hurt?

No, getting a bridge is typically painless. Local anesthesia is used during the procedure to ensure comfort. You may experience mild sensitivity afterward, but it goes away quickly.

What’s the difference between a dental bridge and an implant?

A dental implant is surgically placed into the jawbone and stands on its own, while a bridge is supported by nearby teeth or implants. Implants last longer and help preserve jawbone, while bridges are quicker and less invasive.

How do I take care of a bridge?

Brush twice a day, floss daily (with a floss threader or water flosser), and visit our office for regular cleanings. Taking good care of your dental bridge will help it stay strong and clean.

Who is a good candidate for a dental bridge?

If you’re missing one or more teeth and have healthy teeth (or implants) on either side of the gap, you may be a great candidate for a dental bridge. We’ll evaluate your bite, gum health, and bone support during your consultation.
